AdAction is a technology provider in the field of online advertising with services related to delivering and optimizing ad content and measuring results of internet marketing. AdAction customers are large online Advertisers. End users are the individuals that visit Advertisers web sites and that view advertisements on other large web sites known as Publishers. This policy describes mechanisms and procedures in place at AdAction to protect the privacy of end users.
AdAction collects non-personal data about web browsers that view ads on Publisher web sites and visit Advertiser web sites. The data is used on behalf of AdAction Advertisers in order to report on the result of online campaigns, and to deliver the most relevant advertisements to end users based on observed browser behaviour. The data collected includes information on the end user's operating system, browser type, date and time of delivery of a specific ad or web page.
In some cases AdAction receives additional data about web page visits from Advertisers. This data is collected from the end user under an agreement between the end user and the Advertiser. Any data that can be viewed as personal identifiers (such as name, phone number, email-address etc) is cryptographically anonymized before being transferred from the Advertiser to AdAction in a manner that makes it impossible for AdAction to decipher the information.
